Memberships

At the end of 2020 BMX Australia became part of AusCycling.  AusCycling represents over 52,000 members across BMX, BMX Freestyle, Cyclo-Cross, E-Sport, Mountain Bike, Para-Cycling, Road, Track and Lifestyle (recreational and commuter) riding throughout Australia.

From AusCycling: Our vision is to make Australia a nation of bike riders, to advocate for our riders’ safety, build strong club communities and to make all forms of cycling accessible to everyone be it on a track, off a jump, in the great Australian bush or on the road.

Membership Options

To participate in any club sanctioned events you will require an appropriate AusCycling membership.  This ensures that you and the club are adequately protected.

4 Week Free Trial

A free trial membership is available for new riders who want to try some club events before committing.  This membership allows you to partake in our beginner coaching, gate nights and even clubbies.

Non Riding

This is the minimum membership level and is intended for those that are participating in club activities without riding.  It is free and is required for those officiating at events.

Race Off-Road

This is the level that most of our riders select, it's for members who want race on a BMX track or out on the MTB trails but do not wish to compete in road or velodrome races.

**Note that an additional annual fee for compulsory club membership is added, this is $25 for kids under 7 and $45 for all others. Price correct as of 1/07/2023.

Race All Discipline

If you ride BMX but also road or track this will cover you for everything.

Lifestyle

These are great if you would like to only participate in gates practice or coaching. This is an awesome option for mums and dads that would like to roll around the track with their kids at official non-race events.

NB: you will not be able to participate in any race events with a lifestyle membership.

* Note: For Lifestyle annual pricing, if you do not select a club, an additional $25.00 fee will automatically be added.

* Note: For Lifestyle monthly pricing, if you do not select a club, an additional $2.08 fee will automatically be added to monthly payments.

* Prices do not include optional club fees. Refer to above note. ** Lifestyle Basic Membership includes all the member benefits of AusCycling but designed for the rider who only wants Public Liability insurance for accidental damage to other people and their property. This is particularly suitable for those that are already happy with their personal accident insurance, income protection and/or death and disability cover afforded under their private health and/or superannuation policies.
